Project management
 
REPL assesses the overall feasibility of the project and strive to provide the following services for Project Management :-
Value Management
  • Identify objectives for each project element/component and examine alternatives and suggest the best cost effective solution to the owner.
  • Provide a balance of time, cost and quality to maximize the opportunity cost option.
  • Suggest long term saving measures, even though these may lead to higher initial up front costs.
 
Procurement Management
REPL advise the client to evolve procurement strategy suited specifically to the Project for anchoring the Project on a sound footing and to this effect provide the following services -
  • Evolve procedures and programmer specific to the project for the successful procurement of each work package.
  • Evaluate suitability of all prospective vendors.
  • Ensure co-ordination and qualitative/Quantitative evaluation of all procurement activities/logistics.

 
Cost Management
Right from the stage of the award of work to the selected contractor(s) REPL determine financial requirements, cost modeling and the proving of cost parameters via consideration of alternatives and testing of the model, through to comprehensive cost control and reporting. We ensure maximum value for money and security of cost using proven in-house systems and procedures and assist the client to evolve and establish financial strategy and the successful completion of the project therein. For this we undertake to:-
  • Prepare cost estimates for all aspects of the project
  • Set up cost control procedures and clear reporting structures.
  • Timely scrutiny of bills and issuing certification thereof.
  • Finalize cost of extra items, which have been necessitated due to the client’s requirements for technical reasons. (It is clearly understood by the parties that the extra items will be kept to the minimum and details justification along with schedule/market rates etc. will be given before making recommendation to the corporation to make payments for the same).
  • Clearly identify the cash flow requirements.
  • Carry out periodical review of the costs incurred/yet to be incurred.
  • Prepare final quantity variation statement and critically scrutinize whether these are in accordance with the accepted engineering norms, and if not, then, assign responsibility to the agency responsible for the same.
 
Programme Management
This consist of identification of all linked and critical activities from inception to completion of the project, in order to examine influences external to and thus outside the control of the project thereby integrating the same with the risk management process. REPL provide the following services towards project monitoring:-
  • Identify the key activities in details, and the critical path.
  • Prepare periodic review reports of the entire set of activities so that the problem areas can be identified and timely corrective action taken.
  • Hold periodical site monitoring meetings and issue minutes thereof.
  • Render monthly progress reports to the client, which will comprehensively cover the progress and quality parameters, Updating the PERT programmes, cash flow requirements and the expenditure incurred till date, the revised project, cost, hindrance, if any, and any other relevant matter.
 
Quality Management
This consist of management of the process in accordance with the client objectives which are declared in the quality plan and ensuring that the disciplines of quality in daily work ultimately delivers a project to the client’s satisfaction via a “hands on” quality management process. For this REPL provide the following services:-
  • Establish a format and standardize all documentation required for the project
  • Ensure that standards are used and complied with.
  • Ensure the safety and best quality vs. time and cost trade off.
  • Ensure that construction standards, methods and materials meet the required quality of installation and documentation of testing.
  • Review the safety programmes drawn up by each contractors as per their contract document.
  • Prepare details handing over records, particularly for services etc.
  • Finalize maintenance manuals for all the services.
REPL also analyze the procedures involved to ensure the quality of works
  • Setting up of standardized format for quality check of all the Works, goods and services.
  • Recognized laboratories for the testing of materials.
  • Thorough testing of materials and works will be done by the Consultants at the site laboratory. If needed sample test will be carried out from the recognized laboratories at the cost of the contractors. The employer will have the privilege of the taking the samples of material and getting it tested independently.
  • Get the rectification work executed during the Defect Liability Period from the Contractor, for which no extra charges will be paid to the Consultant.
  • Cross checking of the authenticity of the source of material supplied shall be done through the material supplier.
 
Site Management
This consist of responsibility for site management issues including managing interface between the Third Parties For this, we provide the following services :-
  • Provide all the relevant Good for Construction (GFC) drawings to execute the work.
  • Issue all the detailed drawings to the selected contractors to commence the work at site.
  • Supervise the work and maintain all the relevant documentation as agreed by both the parties.
  • Inputting on special techniques and resources specific to the Location, site, type and quality of construction.
  • Examining contractor’s programme.
  • Arranging handing over of site to contractor systematically
  • Co-coordinating between various contractors.
  • Controlling contractors’ organization at site.
  • Ensuring adherence to construction plan.
  • Maintaining cash flows and payments.
  • Coordinating progress.
  • Arranging site meeting and preparing progress reports regularly
